Google Blog and a 2.0 Checklist

Well six apart is talking about Google launching their new Blog Search engine. Why one can’t just use the normal search engine is beyond me, but as noted in the six apart post is that it can search by author and it gets its data from the XML feeds.. http://www.sixapart.com/pronet/weblog/2005/09/google_launches.html The search engine does seem to work, but thats to be expected of Google really. I wish they would stop bringing out new ways of controlling the market place and improve their offerings though. They are going to end up like a huge corporate that everyone hates if they continue to try and take over the way information is catalogued, searched, distributed, authored and shared.

This is the Web 2.0 checklist, http://msippey.tadalist.com/lists/public/155420 , so if you are going to produce the next 2.0 app you need those elements!

I particularly like the “sprinkled with Ajax” part.
